Setting Up Local Pick Up and/or Payment

Before you make any plans for local payment and/or local pick up please contacts us to arrange a day (and if possible a general time) for pick up so that we can be sure that your item will be ready and available for you. Local delivery is not offered unless specified in the item description.

Payment

Local Pickup is available for no extra charge, and can be paid for locally with:

Cash, Check, Money Order, Visa, Master Card, American Express, Discover or Cashiers Check.

We do accept local personal checks with proper identification, and information for orders under $500.00.

Please make Check or Money Orders out to "Michigan State University".

If you have tax exemption status or a resellers certification please remember to bring proof of status to the store when you pick up your purchase. If you do not have either of these you will be charged State of Michigan Sales Tax (6%) on your purchase.

If you would like to pay for your purchase over the phone and pick up the item locally, please contact us. You can make your payment via Pay Pal, over the phone with a credit card or through the mail prior to picking up your item, but we will not release the item before payment has been received and confirmed.

12:00 PM to 3:30 PM Monday
 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM Tuesday
 12:00 PM to 3:30 PM Wednesday
 12:00 PM to 3:30 PM Thursday
 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM Friday

Large Items, Docks & Loading Assistance

For items were local pick up only designated, we have staffing and equipment (pallet jacks, lifts, forklifts, ect.) to help assist with loading of items, including several loading docks.  This will reduce the shipping costs associated with freight pick ups.  We also offer palletizing, several shrink wrapping options, and banding for a nominal fee for larger/heavier items. Please note that the Buyer is responsible for the arraignment and payment of all related shipping and handling charges unless otherwise noted specifically in the auction description.  Please contact us for a quote or with your questions for freight shipping pickup information. 

Student Storage

Drop Off
Student Storage items can be dropped off during regular Surplus Store business hours; prior arraignments are not necessary but are encouraged to expedite the process. During peak Summer Storage periods, extended hours may be available. Please call (517) 355-1723 for details. 

Pick Up
Student storage pick-up requires notice at least one business day in advance. We have more than one storage site, and this lead-time is necessary for collecting your items and transporting them to the Surplus Store. Please call (517) 355-1723 to schedule your pick up.
